The fine details on Hermès’ Kachinas Shawl are something to behold! Made of 65% cashmere and 35% silk in shades of blue, green, and brown, this Kermit Oliver design depicts an array of Kachina dolls. These sacred costumed figures are employed by the Hopi people to teach children about the many spirits tied to the natural world. Previously loved, it has a few pulls, significant pilling, a perfume smell, and the label is starting to come undone on one side. This is the softest lesson in Southwestern traditions I’ve ever seen!
