When do you post items?

We post items 7 days a week at all different times of the day and night.

What if I am looking for a specific item?

Ann’s Fabulous Finds has Wishlists for many designers. If a particular designer rings your chimes and you would like to get an email every time we list another item by that designer, let us know and we will add you to our list.

How do you authenticate items?

We take it as a matter of pride and responsibility to only sell items that we can guarantee to be authentic - with our 100% authentic guarantee. We verify based on decades of experience with these designers, not just receipts and hearsay. We have a network of authenticators, in addition to Ann who is sought after for her deep knowledge and experience. If an item doesn't pass inspections with flying colors, we won't offer it for sale. In fact, we have been known to send back to the consignor items that may very well be authentic, just because we had the teeniest question in our mind about the authenticity.

Are the items in the photos the actual item for sale?

Yes. At AFF our professional photographers take each and every picture of the items we offer for sale in our studio. So you know that the item you're looking at is the actual item you will be purchasing and that any wear will be well documented in order to help you make your decision with the assurance that you know exactly what you're buying.

Why is an item on hold?

In general, items on hold are waiting for payment to clear. Occasionally, items may come off hold, becoming available for sale again. Please contact us if you are interested in an item that is on hold and we will place you on the list to be advised on the off chance that it becomes available.

How do I pay for an item?

Ann's Fabulous Finds accepts bank wires, PayPal, and Shopify Payments. Shopify Payments is a secure way to use major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Shop Pay. There is also the option to finance your purchase with Affirm.

What is Affirm?

Ann’s Fabulous Finds and Affirm now have a partnership that lets you get the bags and accessories you want right now, while taking time to pay them off. With Affirm, you can finance your find for 3, 6, or 12 months without waiting for your purchase! Loan example, "on a $700 purchase, you may pay $63.18 for 12 months with a 15% APR."

Can I use Affirm with a layaway purchase?

Affirm financing cannot be used with AFF layaway purchases.

Why would I use Affirm?

If you want your handbag now, and you want take some time to pay it off, use Affirm rather than layaway. Just select Purchase when adding your bag to your cart. Then at checkout, once you are asked to pay, select Affirm.

Can I pay by check?

Ann's Fabulous Finds no longer accepts personal checks or money orders. Please contact us with any questions.

How do I pay by Bank Wire?

Customers who choose to pay by bank wire will receive a 3% discount on their purchase. Orders paid for by bank wire require a 5% deposit at checkout via credit card, PayPal, or Shopify Payment with code WIRE_DEPOSIT. This deposit is used to place the item on hold while we are awaiting the bank wire. Once the order is placed and the deposit is paid, we will reach out with our bank wire information and the remaining balance for your order. Send us an email when you have made your transfer so we know to watch for the incoming payment. Bank wire payments typically clear in 1–3 business days.
  1. At checkout, enter code WIRE_DEPOSIT in the Discount/Gift Card field
  2. Pay the 5% wire deposit using a credit card, PayPal, or Shopify Payment
  3. We will send you our bank wire information along with your balance due
  4. Pay the order balance by bank wire within 5 days
  5. Send us an email so we know to watch for the incoming transfer
  6. Once the transfer is received, we will ship your order

If proof of a sent bank wire is not received within 5 days of the order, your item(s) will be taken off hold and made available for sale to our other customers. In cases of limited verification data or high-value transactions, payment via bank wire may be required.

Will I have to pay sales tax?

Customers in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin are subject to sales tax. Sales to international customers are subject to customs, policies, and laws within their own countries.



Shipping

By what method will my purchase be shipped?

We ship using FedEx for most domestic orders and DHL for international orders.

How much is shipping?

We offer free shipping within the U.S. for all orders via FedEx Ground. All items will be fully insured when shipped.

How long will it take to receive my item?

All merchandise will be shipped within 48 hours after receiving payment, with the exceptions of holidays, weekends, and dates noted on website. Shipments within the U.S. typically take 2–5 business days, depending on the distance from Michigan.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

We offer expedited shipping for your purchase through FedEx. FedEx charges vary based on your location and the shipping cost will be calculated in your shopping cart.

International Orders

Do you ship internationally?

We ship internationally to many countries via DHL. Shipping costs range from $25–$50.

How can I pay for an international order?

For international orders, we can accept bank wire, American Express, and Shopify Payments. Shopify Payments is a secure way to use major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Shop Pay. Contact us for our bank wire address. 

Am I responsible for duties or customs fees on my purchase?

International orders may (and most probably will) attract customs fees and import duties payable to the country where the package was delivered. We do not know what these charges may be, as they differ from country to country and time to time. Any additional charges incurred are to be paid directly by the customer.

Can you reduce the amount I paid on my customs declaration?

While we do love our international customers and would do just about anything to make them happy, we are unable to understate the value on customs declarations or mark shipments as gifts. We do mark the items as used.

Is there anything that can't be shipped internationally?

Items made of exotic skins (such as alligator, python, or lizard) can only be shipped within the United States.




Layaway

How do I place an item on layaway?

In order to place an eligible item on layaway, begin by checking out and selecting the layaway option. We will then contact you to ask you how you would like to proceed. For eligible items, we offer 30- and 60-day layaways. Both require a 30% deposit.

For the 30-day layaway, the balance will be due by day 30. For items on 60-day layaway, another 30% of the total is due on day 30 and the balance on day 60. We send out layaway reminders usually on the Wednesday before the week your payment is due. You may call us with your credit card at 248-251-0025 or email us to be sent an invoice. We do not keep credit cards on file, nor do we bill automatically. Any layaway can be completed early by paying in full and we will then ship it immediately.

Out of fairness to both our customers and consignors, we will only keep items on hold for 24 hours without a deposit. The layaway period begins on the date that an item is placed on hold. Layaway returns are treated as a return (not as a cancellation; see our Return Policy for details). Credits earned from a canceled layaway may not be used as a layaway deposit. For each layaway, a new deposit is required. Please note that we may change layaway terms on specific items or for special offers. We reserve the right to deny layaway to anyone or everyone.

Why isn't an item eligible for layaway?

As a service to our consignors, they choose which layaway options will be available for their items. If an item has been on the site for 15 days without selling, all layaway options will then be available.

Can I extend my layaway?

After a layaway has begun, occasionally things happen and we are asked to extend a layaway. If we agree to the change on this ongoing layaway, there will be an additional 10% extended layaway charge based on the total price of the item, minus shipping and taxes. This charge will be added onto the total price of the item and will be non-refundable.

What if I have to cancel my layaway?

If a layaway is canceled, we will issue all funds paid towards it as a store credit minus 10% of the total cost of the item. The 10% cancellation fee is non-refundable and will not become a store credit. Store credits resulting from a canceled layaway may not be used as a layaway deposit. For each layaway, a new deposit will be required.

What if I want to return an item I purchased through layaway?

Items placed on layaway can only be returned for store credit, minus shipping fees and a 10% restocking fee.

 

 

Returns

What is your return policy?

Ann's Fabulous Finds takes great care in accurately describing our merchandise. If you are unhappy with your purchase, the item can be returned for a refund, minus any shipping charges incurred by AFF. Please notify us within 48 business hours of tracked delivery to authorize the return. The item will need to be returned within 10 days and be in the exact condition it was in when it left our shop. All security devices must be intact. Items placed on layaway can only be returned for a store credit (minus shipping fees and the 10% restocking fee).

We accept all major credit cards, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express via Shopify Payments. There is also the option to pay with a bank wire transfer or finance your purchase with Affirm.

 

Consignment

What items do you accept for consignment?

We accept handbags, jewelry, scarves and accessories from over 150 designers, as well as certain designer clothing items for our eBay store. Items should have a resale value of $400 or more in order to be considered and should be in good or better condition. We also accept designer footwear in new or like new condition. Please contact us if you have any questions.

What is the consignment process?

Once you ship an item to us, we research it, authenticate it, photograph it, write a description of it, and contact you to discuss pricing. Once we have come to an agreement, we post it on the site for sale. If during the authentication process any of your items are determined by our experts to not be authentic, you will be charged an authentication fee ($150 for each Hermès Birkin or Kelly bag; $75 each for any other bag in question), plus an additional fee for return shipping. If this situation arises, we will contact you with additional information and payment instructions, then return your item to you.

Will you work with me on pricing?

Yes, we will not post an item for sale until we both have agreed on the price.

What if we can’t agree on a price?

Before an item is posted online, if we can't agree on a price, we will return your item and will pay for one-way shipping (meaning we will pay for shipping, if we didn’t pay to have it initially shipped to us). If you decide you'd like something back after it has posted, but before the consignment period is over, it will be subject to an early cancellation fee. Items that have been posted for more than 100 days can be returned at our expense.

How long will it take my item to sell?

This depends on the item, designer, and market conditions. Hot items and certain designers tend to move quickly, although they change from time to time! We also have a major following for many designers. Regardless of the item, we will work to sell it for you!

Will my item be marked down?

If an item has not sold within 30 days, we may reduce the price, depending on the designer, interest in the item, and market conditions.

How long do you keep things?

The consignment period is for 100 days, after that time, if your things haven’t sold, just ask us and we will send them back to you, if you want them. On the other hand, we will keep trying to sell them for you, if that is what you prefer.

Will you pay to have the items shipped to you?

In the U.S., we will pay to have handbags and jewelry by these designers shipped to us:

  • Balenciaga
  • Bottega Veneta
  • Cartier
  • Céline
  • Chanel
  • Fendi
  • Gucci
  • Hermès
  • Louis Vuitton
  • Prada
  • Rolex

If you are sending handbags or jewelry from any of these designers, contact us and we will send you a shipping label. International consignors should contact us to make shipping arrangements.

How much will I be paid?

We use a sliding scale that pays a larger amount for high-end designers. In fact, no other online consignment shop pays more for top designers. Please refer to our Consignment page for more details.

When will I get paid for my item?

We issue checks during consignment summary periods on or about the 10th and 25th of each month. The first consignment summary after your item has sold and is qualified to be paid (generally 10 days for items on AFF or 14 days for items in our eBay store), we will send you an email letting you know that your consignment funds are coming. If you would rather get that money via PayPal, let us know then. Otherwise, we will issue you a check mailed to the address we have on file.

Is there any way I can be paid earlier?

If your item has sold and is qualified to be paid, we can arrange an earlier payment. Please contact us for details.
