Hermès Paperoles Silk Scarf 90cm
Claudia Stuhlhofer‑Mayr’s inspiration for Hermès’ Paperoles Silk Scarf were pieces of artwork crafted by 19th-century nuns! Made from 100% silk in a luscious colorway of corail, fuchsia, and vert, the scarf is an intricate recreation of the original ceremonial carriage, its coach, and horses. The objects—called paperoles—were made from rolled strips of paper, along with cardboard, wood, and silk. Wheels turn, and other moving parts work as they should. Brand new, the wrap arrives with a box and a tag. The original work was discovered in a Florentine antique shop and is now part of Hermès’ permanent collection!
