Chanel Byzantine Jewel Encrusted Tweed Flap
I hope you are sitting down and are sipping some kind of adult beverage, you know, like coffee, because Chanel’s Byzantine Jewel Encrusted Tweed Flap is a mind-blower! From the Paris-Byzantine Collection, it’s a limited edition and even the tweed isn’t straight-forward, as it’s a patchwork of tweeds. Coming from 2011 with a dustbag and cards, it’s brand new and never worn. Traditionally, the flap opens with an antiqued gold Mademoiselle turn lock to a black fabric lining with a zipped pocket and slide pocket, while the back has another slide pocket. Whether you wear it with a drop of eleven inches or nineteen and a half inches, the strap is composed of threads woven through a chain with random sparkly enamel squares as part of the chain. Look closely, because the threads are not woven in the routine Chanel way. Within the tweeds are all kinds of surprises, including chains, crystals, and beads. It’s a small bag covered with unexpected fun!
