Hermès Rouge Shiny Porosus Crocodile Birkin 35
Now here’s an Hermès you don’t see every day—a vintage Shiny Porosus Crocodile Birkin 35! It’s made of Rouge Porosus (you can tell it’s Porosus vs. Niloticus by the circumflex ^ symbol next to the gold heat-stamped “Paris” on the inside front face next to the turnlock) with gold-tone feet and hardware, and the turnlock closure can be secured with the Porosus-covered lock and keys stored in the tethered clochette. The interior has tonal-leather lining with one zipped pocket and one slide pocket and the dual rolled handles with a 4.25-inch drop are perfect for the hand or crook of the arm. In good condition from 1996 (Z in a circle) with a dustbag, raincover, and CITES, it has wear on the corners, hardware, feet, a bit on the handle, and inside, marks on the outside, and a light perfume smell. The veining of this exotic skin really pops in this glorious color and, for a bag of its age, it has held up quite well!
