Chanel’s Vintage Black Quilted Lambskin Flap is a neat-looking riff on the classic Double Flap! The front flap is edged in a strip of unquilted leather and the bag is paired with two-tone hardware in the logo turnlock. The first flap opens to a zippered love-letter pocket on its underside and a slide beneath it, while the second flap is logo stitched on its underside and snaps over a slide pocket on the face. Then, in burgundy-leather lining, two slides and one zipped pocket are revealed, while a sixth pocket in the form of a Mona Lisa slide avails itself on the back face. The chain strap interwoven with leather has two shoulder drops—one at 7 inches when doubled and 12.5 inches when worn singly. In previously loved condition (the stamp is hard to read but I think it’s from 1989-91), it comes with a dustbag and has scratches on the metal, marks on the leather, corners, and edges, the second flap is creased inside, and it needs an airing out. This vintage bag is a real blast from the past but it hasn’t lost its Chanel cachet!
